Porthloo beach (always birdy) produced at least a dozen Black Redstarts, Bar-tailed Godwit, Sanderling (3), Ringed Plover, Curlew, Wheatear and a fine female Merlin which dashed across the bay...
I had a walk up to Watermill but nothing of note was seen...lovely spot though...
After lunch we tried Old Town Churchyard and after a good while I glimpsed the hoped for Firecrest. I also added Greenshank, Raven and Redwing.
The day concluded with me watching at least 50 Swallows feeding over Lower Moors from the digs garden...wonderful!
