Scilly 2021 - Day 1

Busy day and a long one...hence the brief write-up.

2 Scilly ticks...Eider and Spotted Redshank (both on Tresco) putting me on 228.

We were extremely lucky to get across on the first plane before the fog rolled in at Lands End. The Eider was the tempter with no major news. The weather was as good as I can ever remember, simply stunning...

After settling in our flat I had a walk down to Porth Hellick to try for the Red-rumped Swallow but my efforts were unrewarded as it has flown over Peninnis shortly before I arrived. No matter, it was good exercise.

Time for the Atlantic now and Louise's birthday meal.

More detail tomorrow...
