Another loooong drive today. I know...too much time in the Jeep BUT it'll be worth it... hopefully?!
We're now at the Al Ghaftan Resthouse way out in the Desert 🏝️ It would take some finding!!

Early start tomorrow as we intend to reach the Muntasar Oasis for Dawn. I'll hopefully have some "Good Birds" to report?
Nick Bray gave me some excellent information regarding Egyptian Nightjar (and possibly Syke's) just down the road but Robert had done enough driving for today (my insurance clearance still hasn't come through).
Tomorrow night we'll finally reach Salalah for our 6 day stay. I can finally set my stall out which will mean I can share some "proper" photograph's with you. It will also mean an upgrade in dining establishments, although our two Desert stops have been more than adequate. We're VERY grateful for their presence, believe me!
