Breeding Success

Nice to have some positive local news. I could do with cheering up!!!

Tree Sparrows (c25), Goldfinches (c50)...

Reed Bunting (8)...

and Yellow Wagtails have bred to the South of the Village. First three seen feeding young and the juvenile YW has been present for quite some time...as has the menacingly powerful female Sparrowhawk! Not forgetting the humble House Sparrow (c40)...

I also had a family of 5 Greenfinches along Seaside Road...

I've been visiting my chosen Migrant traps regularly but nothing significant found as yet. Still early days obviously and it will happen...won't it?
