Black Stork

We had a drive down to Sunk Island this morning as I didn't fancy the crowds at Spurn. Instead we found the crowds down there instead! Unfortunately we found some trespassing well into the fields. No surprise but sad.

The bird then appeared above the trees...flushed?

It soared high above the fields...

Unfortunately it showed some damage to the right wing. I posted this image on Yorkshire Birding facebook and got criticized for pestering it? It's hard to disturb a bird that's high in the air! Granted there was some less than exemplary behaviour...as usual.

I prefer to dwell on a great bird that will hopefully depart to warmer parts soon...safely!
