Signs of Winter

My Ring Ouzel search proved fruitless yet again as I combed Holmpton and Easington this morning. With this being my first Autumn on the coast it was amazing to see so many Blackbirds (I could see 5 in the bushes opposite my house!). They were everywhere. Around Easington Cemetery they seemed to be in every bush. Good numbers of Fieldfare, Redwing and Robin were also noted.

Just as I was about to leave the Cemetery area I heard a familiar sound. I looked to the skies...

Two decent sized skeins of Pinkfeet about 20 minutes apart. I drove back to Holmpton hoping to see some from there but it wasn't to be.
