It's way out West...
and it's massive! To give you some idea of the vastness we stayed at Alpine which is the nearest decent sized town. It took us 90 minutes to reach the entrance gate and another 40 to reach the visitor centre!!
Finally found my nemesis (US term for bird you can't connect with) Gray Vireo at Blue Creek Canyon...
Couldn't get a decent shot of this very elusive bird but I did manage to see some smart birds in the early morning light...before it got too hot!!
